Central Indiana Workforce Development Initiative expands

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 19, 2016) - The Central Indiana Workforce Development Initiative (CIWDI), a Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) cross-sector initiative focused on regional workforce development, announces three new additions to its team: Chad Timmerman, Sally Reasoner, and Kate Broshears.

  • Chad Timmerman serves as the vice president of Education and Community Partnerships. Prior to joining CIWDI, Timmerman served as director of Education Policy for the Governor of Indiana and special adviser to the State Board of Education. Timmerman began his career with the Indiana House of Representatives and transitioned into the Indiana State Budget Agency as assistant director of Education and Economic Development. Timmerman holds a Juris Doctorate from the McKinney School of Law, and both a Master of Public Affairs and Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, Bloomington.

"Chad's robust financial and legal background will be a tremendous asset to CICP's workforce initiative and to employers throughout our community," said Jason Kloth, executive director of the Central Indiana Workforce Development Initiative.

  • Sally Reasoner transitioned into her new role as vice president of Talent Identification with CIWDI from TechPoint, a fellow CICP initiative focused on technology growth, where she served as director of Talent Initiatives. Reasoner started her career as an Orr Fellow at FinishMaster, and was elected to serve as the Orr Fellowship's chief of staff. Upon completion of the Orr Fellowship, Reasoner joined CICP to build TechPoint's talent programs. Reasoner successfully launched four college-to-career programs aimed at building a tech talent pipeline for Central Indiana companies. Reasoner earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from DePauw University.

"Sally brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position. Her experience recruiting top-tier talent and developing talent pipelines will help address talent challenges throughout Central Indiana," Kloth added.

  • Kate Broshears joined CIWDI as director of Development and Communications. Previously, Broshears served as the assistant director of Division III governance communications at the NCAA. In this role, she was the liaison for the Division III Identity team, managed Division III web operations, and provided oversight to the Special Olympics partnership. Prior to the NCAA, she worked as an Orr Fellow at Compendium, a content marketing software company. Broshears received both a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Sport Administration from Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePauw University.

"Kate's business background, combined with extensive communications experience, makes her uniquely positioned to bring much-needed attention to the workforce efforts in the region," Kloth stated.

CIWDI is preparing to formally launch as a CICP branded initiative in late fall 2016.
