Consulting Operations Associate

The Consulting Operations Associate is a critical member of the Ascend Services team, which develops and delivers innovative talent solutions to Ascend’s clients to solve complex talent and ecosystem challenges.

The Consulting Operations Associate will perform full secretarial, administrative, and broad support activities for Ascend’s Vice President of Strategy. This includes managing all aspects of day to day preparations for meeting and events. In addition, the Consulting Operations Associate will support the Services team time and project management processes, human assets, and technology needs. This includes supporting high priority initiatives, projects, internal and external activities, media, and events as assigned.

To be successful in this role you must be…

A strategic thinker and ruthless prioritizer motivated to provide logistical support to the Vice President of Strategy.

  • You will collaborate with the Vice President of Strategy to ensure they are dedicating time and energy to the highest priority meetings and tasks for their workstreams.
  • You coordinate the planning, scheduling, and logistics of the Vice President’s meetings and appointments in coordination with other key stakeholders.
  • You will work alongside team members to address scheduling conflicts as they arise.
  • You prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • You conduct research on key stakeholders, clients, and initiatives as needed.
  • You provide additional support to the Vice Presidents and Leadership Team as requested.

Energized by supporting the day-to-day operations of the Ascend Services’ alongside your team.

  • You maintain project and team time tracking through Outlook and time management tools (SmartSheet, Timely, etc.). This includes auditing calendars monthly to ensure time is properly allocated and supporting invoicing alongside CICP.
  • You manage the development of monthly expense reports for the Vice Presidents and members of the Services leadership team.
  • You ensure that data is accurately tracked and stored within Ascend’s CRM and other project management tools (i.e. Smartsheet, Timely, etc.), exporting and analyzing data as requested.

  • You support the implementation and iteration of the team’s interview, hiring, and onboarding processes and materials alongside the Vice President and the cross-functional team.
  • You manage the coordination, preparation, and implementation of the Services team’s strategic planning meetings, semester planning discussions, and staff activities and gatherings.
  • You support the development of agendas and logistics for the Services leadership team and all-team meetings.
  • You support the implementation of new CICP systems and structures as needed with the help of the cross-functional team.
  • You are organized and outcomes focused. You track your progress daily and react quickly if you are not on track to accomplishing your goals.
  • You break down goals and develop weekly, semester and yearly plans to achieve organizational objectives.
  • You manage and report against goals, priorities, and objectives to the Vice Presidents.
  • You provide additional support to Services and Network team members as needed.

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project management and/or operations preferred.
  • Detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy tracking and executing tasks.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn new technology tools and processes quickly.
  • Demonstrate ethical handling of confidential information.
