Ascend Indiana names new president and CEO and new board chair

The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and Ascend Indiana announce that Conexus Indiana COO and Chief Talent Officer Brad Rhorer has been named president and CEO of Ascend Indiana, CICP’s talent and workforce development initiative, and will succeed Jason Kloth in January. Concurrently, Board Vice Chair Bridget Boyle, head of people and culture for Roche Diagnostics, has been named chair of the Ascend Board of Directors, succeeding founding chair Mark Hill, who will step down at the beginning of the year.

Ascend Indiana receives $2.45 million in grants to advance youth apprenticeships statewide

Ascend Indiana, the talent and workforce development initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), has received a $1.7 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation and a $750,000 grant from the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) to scale youth apprenticeship programs across Indiana.
Jason Kloth, Ascend Indiana President and CEO, to Step Down

Ascend Indiana today announced that President and CEO Jason Kloth, will step down on January 1, 2024. Kloth who helped to create the talent and workforce development organization nearly nine years ago, will serve in a consulting capacity after the first of the year to ensure a smooth transition.

Stephanie Bothun serves as the VP of Consulting and Co-Founder of Ascend Indiana. In 2019, as a Class II Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation Fellow, she presented her MDLF Capstone Project - Modern Youth Apprenticeship. On October 19, she will be named the inaugural 2023 Driving Change Award winner for the development and implementation of the Modern Apprenticeship Program in Central Indiana.
Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation Honors Teresa Lubbers with Daniels Prize; Ascend’s Stephanie Bothun Named Driving Change Award Winner

The Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation will present Teresa Lubbers with the Daniels Prize Award on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the MDLF Annual Event. The purpose of the Daniels Prize Award is to recognize Hoosiers whose life’s work has “lifted the State to a new plane of thought, aspiration, expectation and action,” in the spirit of Mitch Daniels’ own leadership.
