TechPoint Launches Expanded Statewide Tech Job Board Powered by Ascend Indiana

TechPoint Launches Expanded Statewide Tech Job Board Powered by Ascend Indiana

TechPoint, the industry-led growth initiative for Indiana’s digital innovation economy, today announced the launch of the new TechPoint Job Board powered by Ascend Indiana’s on-line job platform, the Ascend Network. The expanded, technology-enabled platform increases available tech job listings from less than a hundred to more than 1,000 across Indiana, creating broader access for job seekers and stronger hiring support for employers.

The launch comes as Indiana’s tech sector faces a growing experience gap. According to TechPoint’s recent brief, AI Amplifies Need to Address Experience Gap, early-career workers ages 22–25 experienced a 13% relative decline in employment from late 2022 to mid-2025. As artificial intelligence reshapes hiring needs, employers increasingly seek candidates with hands-on experience, making it harder for young professionals to gain entry into the field.

“Indiana’s tech economy is growing, but early-career talent is struggling to find on-ramps,” said Ginger Lippert, TechPoint’s vice president of Marketing and Engagement. “By partnering with Ascend Indiana and leveraging the Ascend Network, we’re dramatically expanding visibility into tech roles statewide and helping bridge the gap between potential and experience.”

Originally launched in 2018, TechPoint’s job board has been a destination for tens of thousands of tech job seekers. With automated listings powered by the Ascend Network, the platform now features roughly 1,000 new postings daily, up from about 50 previously available. Job listings are refreshed daily and remain easy for candidates to navigate, with filtering options that include advanced industry, employment type, experience level, skills and additional criteria.

Now powered by the Ascend Network, the TechPoint Job Board aggregates third-party postings from tech employers across the state, including roles at TechPoint member companies as well as tech positions from other employers. This automated, statewide approach significantly expands geographic reach and ensures job seekers can discover opportunities across Indiana in one centralized destination. It also creates efficiency for employer partners by minimizing their need to manually post jobs to the board.

Ascend Indiana launched the Ascend Network in 2018 and has matched thousands of job seekers with Indiana employers. In late 2025, Ascend increased its job postings to more than 60,000 per day, offering one of the largest one-stop destinations for job postings in Indiana. Additional feature updates include:

  • Daily job posting updates
  • Filtering capabilities by region and industry sector, with a focus on Indiana’s advanced industries (life sciences, advanced manufacturing, agbiosciences and digital and technology)
  • Simplified sign up
  • Pay filter

“Indiana has incredible tech talent, particularly among early-career professionals eager to gain experience,” said Brad Rhorer, president and CEO of Ascend Indiana. “Powering the TechPoint Job Board through the Ascend Network allows us to connect more Hoosiers to meaningful tech careers while helping employers more efficiently identify and engage talent across the state.”

TechPoint and Ascend Indiana are both branded initiatives of the CEOs of Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and aim to improve visibility into in-demand roles, better connect employers with emerging talent and strengthen Indiana’s long-term innovation economy.
