Betsy Davis is Chief Operating Officer at Ascend Indiana, where she leads organizational operations and helps advance strategies that strengthen Indiana’s workforce and talent development ecosystem. Davis brings more than 15 years of experience developing workforce, education, and career-connected learning initiatives, with a focus on connecting employers, education, and community partners. Prior to joining Ascend, Davis spent more than a decade at EmployIndy, where she held progressively senior leadership roles across recruitment and talent solutions, employer engagement, career-connected learning, and career pathways. She began her tenure by launching and leading EmployIndy’s recruitment services before moving into broader talent and workforce strategy. She later founded Talent Bound, a regional career-connected learning intermediary initiative, and helped pioneer the Modern Apprenticeship Program, creating youth apprenticeship pathways across multiple industries. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and foreign language from the University of Southern Indiana.
