Client Success Intern

An initiative of Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), Ascend collaborates with corporate, education, philanthropic, and community partners, and is well-positioned to play a leadership role in addressing Indiana’s workforce challenges.

The Client Success Intern will play a key role in supporting employers who are onboarding to or already leveraging the Ascend Network (Network), a talent matching platform designed to connect Indiana job seekers with good and promising jobs and work-based learning opportunities. The Client Success Intern will work closely with the Client Success Manager to contribute to Ascend’s ambitious role posting goals, as well as support additional high priority projects and research as assigned by the Client Success Manager or Senior Manager of Employer Partnerships.

Excited to post a high volume of good and promising job and internship opportunities to the Network, detail-oriented and meticulous in ensuring the quality of your posts, and systematic in your approaches to both finding new opportunities for the Network and removing outdated roles.

Motivated by ambiguity and inspired to help develop and maintain employer profiles on the Network, enhance the onboarding and adoption of employer users to the Network, and achieve ambitious goals.

In this role, you will...

  • Support the Senior Manager of Employer Partnerships and the Client Success Manager in identifying roles on employer partners’ career pages that would be a good fit for the Network.
  • Review job descriptions for hundreds of roles across industries to distill and market the information to job seekers in a more accessible and digestible way via the Network.
  • Accurately assess what skills someone would need to be successful in a role to enable effective matches to each opportunity.
  • Systematically check roles on the Network and remove those that have been filled or are no longer available to ensure candidates have a high-quality job search experience.
  • Support the team as needed in implementing product updates such as enhancing the information and/or photos included on employers’ profiles in the Network.
  • Create memos and instructions to document institutional knowledge and share it with both current and future team members.
  • Organize and archive all work product materials within Ascend’s shared drive.
  • Conduct additional research or high-priority projects as assigned by the Client Success Manager, the Senior Manager of Employer Partnerships, or the Director of Network Operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate institution with at least a 3.3 minimum GPA.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research and project management skills.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter who can be given a need or objective, break it down into executable activities, identify questions that need to be asked, gather priorities and requirements, set and manage to milestones, and then execute effectively.
  • Ability to learn new technology tools and processes quickly. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite preferred.
  • Track record of successfully working collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrate ethical handling of confidential information.

  • Office location: 16 Tech, downtown Indianapolis, with hybrid work (in office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
  • Required internship hours: up to 40 hours per week
  • Pay Rate: $15 / hr
  • Travel: Limited
