Ascend’s Hiring Process

1. Application

Review our open positions to find if any seem to be a good fit for you. Click on the role of interest and submit your application through Paycor, our third-party recruitment tool, by clicking on the ‘Apply for this Position’ button.

Once your application is received, our recruiting team will review your application materials and respond to you with the link to a short behavioral assessment administered by the Predictive Index.

2. First Conversation

If your application aligns, our recruitment team will reach out to schedule a 30-minute call to learn more about you, ask some initial questions, and answer your questions.

3. Activity & Discussion

If you are selected to move to the next phase, the recruitment team will reach out to schedule a video call with the direct hiring manager(s) and will ask you to participate in a role-specific activity to you prior to the conversation. Our team will share everything you need to know ahead of time. At this stage, the interviewers will ask more detailed questions about your experience, skills, and activity findings. We encourage you to prepare notes ahead of this meeting to share with the hiring team.

4. Reference Checks

After your discussion, the recruitment team will reach out to the references you listed on your application.

5. Final Conversation

The final phase involves a one hour, in-person interview at our office location at 16 Tech Innovation District with the hiring manager(s) and the Vice President of the role’s team. Our team will again reach out to schedule if you are moved forward. This interview will focus on any final questions our team might have for you, in addition to discussing next steps. At the end of your meeting, a member of our recruitment team will give you a tour of the Ascend office. If you are unable to attend an in-person interview, we will make accommodation.

6. Decision

The hiring team will assess each candidate for their potential to succeed in the job. This final step can take several weeks to conduct all final interviews and make a decision. We appreciate your patience during this stage. Regardless of the outcome, every applicant is notified of the status of their application.
